After looking at old comics, I decided I wanted to paint a picture that incorporated the technique of their scattered dots. I used an app to create a comic book picture of Japanese Blossoms, then blew it up on a large sheet of paper. With geometry, I mapped out the dots on my canvas. I started with yellow. I went horizontally down the page, examining how large each dot should be, which made me extremely exhausted. It took me time to finally finish up the painting. I then went diagonally with pink and blue using the same grid technique. Since I used ink pastels, I decided to emphasize the dots with water.
